REJECT VIOLENCE PEPERTRATORS, MUSHANGA TELLS YOUTHS

By KETRA KALUNGA

REJECT perpetrators of violence before, during and after the August 12 general elections, former Central Province Minister, Sydney Mushanga has advised youths.

And Mr. Mushanga has urged political parties participating in the elections to focus on issue-based campaigns.

The Patriotic Front (PF) parliamentary  candidate for Bwacha in Kabwe said in an interview that young people should denounce violence and refuse to be use as tools by perpetrators of  violence.

He said youths should endeavour to co-exist before, during and after the elections despite having diverse political views because they are the future leaders.

“As youths, be your brother’s keeper and don’t allow perpetrators of violence to use you and you should make sure to co-exist,” he said.

Mr Mushanga urged political parties to avoid insults and name calling during the campaign period.

He said hate speech during election campaigns was a thing of the past because it does not help in convincing the electorates to vote for them hence the need for issue-based campaigns.
