‘COMPLAINING ABOUT A PROBLEM WITHOUT POSING A SOLUTION IS CALLED WHINING – TEDDY ROOSEVELT’

Dear Editor,

COMPLAINING is expressing dissatisfaction and finding faults. Politicians without any verifiable development agendas to sell ahead of elections, tend to drive the general public into this unfruitful habit.

They find it easier to convince people to complain because wasting time complaining about everything one can think of and not doing anything to improve one’s life is one of the major problems with the majority of people who are stuck in a life of mediocrity. Is it not funny how very few in the opposition political parties are speaking well about the ending of the load shedding or the completion of the various road works on roads which were in deplorable conditions!

One can complain about the Kwacha – Dollar exchange rate but won’t buy local vegetables or groceries of similar quality. What is the logic?

Well, may these five quotes inspire you to not complain but rather take daily action to improve your life.

“When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation, change the situation, or accept it. All else is madness.î Eckhart Tolle.

ìStay away from ëstillí people. Still broke, still complaining, still hating, and still nowhere.î Anonymous.

ìComplaining never makes anything better.î Anonymous.

ìIf you donít like something, change it. If you canít change it, change your attitude. Donít complain.î Maya Angelou.

ìIf you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.î Anthony J. DíAngelo.

Remember to tag those who can’t say anything good about our country, Zambia, that has witnessed thousands of foreigners flocking in for the opportunities our own people won’t take as it is the job of their political leaders to feed them.
