PF’S TAIMA LAUNCHES SOLWEZI EAST CAMPAIGN

PATRIOTIC Front Solwezi East parliamentary candidate Richard Taima yesterday launched his campaign for the August 12 elections with a call for peace.

Mr Taima said that he would ensure informative and violence-free campaigns in the constituency ad called on other candidates to denounce violence.

He said this during the launch at Kasapa Primary School where he stressed that the campaigns should be issue-based and free of character assassination.

“We have a message to tell the people because the PF government under president Lungu has in the last five achieved a lot in terms of development. And that is our message to the people,” he said.

Mr Taima said political party’s views should be respected by every well-meaning member of the party.

With regards to the Covid-19 guidelines, Mr Taima said the campaigns would be door-to-door to avoid huge gatherings.

He also donated 1,000 face masks to all the wards in the constituency.

“This is just the initial number of face masks, but we are yet to supply more to all the branches in the constituency,” he said.

At the same event, Mushindamo District PF council chairman candidate Precious Masaba said that residents in Mushindamo should not doubt the capability of Mr Taima.

Mr Masaba urged the residents in the district to support all the PF candidates, including President Edgar Lungu.
