WYNTER THROWS FRED AND HH UNDER THE BUS.

Dear Editor,

MR Wynter Kabimba of the Rainbow Party has thrown opponents such as Socialist Party’s Fred M´membe and UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema under the bus.

Mr. Kabimba said on Sunday Interview that was taped for ZNBC bluntly, “I don’t know those guys (M’membe and HH) but I know President Edgar Lungu as a friend and former classmate whom I can trust and work with.”

This signified the public end of the political “love affair” he has long shared with Mr M’membe who now runs the Socialist Party but there has never been any love between him and Mr Hichilema.

Mr Kabimba said as a politician he would rather work with a friend, the American style, than an enemy in a direct reference to the two “red parties.”

He equally declared that President Lungu and the PF would sweep the polls clean if they were held today, leaving UPND and Socialist Party in the rear-view mirror of politics due to developmental projects.

On the economy, Mr Kabimba a former PF Cabinet Minister before he formed an alliance with Mr M’membe said there was a global crunch that affected even bigger African economies such as South Africa largely due to Covid-19.

“Mr Emmanuel Mwamba (Zambia’s ambassador to Ethiopia ) recently posted a comparison of mealie meal prices between Zambia and South Africa, the prices are higher in South Africa whose economy is ten times bigger or stronger than Zambia,” said Mr Kabimba.

Mr Kabimba becomes the second politician to refuse to work with Mr Hichilema after Mr M’membe did the same thing on a paid for Hot FM programme last week.

Mr Kabimba said he would work hard to join forces with PF using his party structures to make President Lungu win re-election come August 12 as there was no better choice among 18 candidates contesting the polls.

“PATRIOTS.”
