AUSTRALIA-based Zambian musician Chisenga Katongo formerly known as C.R.I.S.I.S has suggested making June 18th Kaunda Day in honouring Zambia’s first president Dr Kenneth Kaunda.Chisenga said this should be an important day to us because of what Dr Kaunda did for our country.
“It should be a day that reminds us to be selfless because that’s what this man(Dr Kaunda) did when he fought for our country’s independence. It was a big act of selflessness” Chisenga stated.
“He was also very instrumental in helping liberate many neighbouring African countries.”
Dr Kaunda died on Thursday, June 17th after an illness.
