‘MY LIFE IN DANGER’
AS FEAR GRIPS SIOMA PF CANDIDATE

‘MY LIFE IN DANGER’
… Fear grips Sioma PF candidate

By NOEL IYOMBWA
AFTER being shot at and the extensive damage on my car, my life is in danger for as long as my attackers are still on the loose, PF Sioma parliamentary candidate, Mbololwa Subulwa has lamented.

Mr Subulya said she was living in fear after an independent candidate fired gunshots at her and went into hiding.
Albert Mundia allegedly fired gunshots at Ms Subulwa after accusing her of using Government vehicles to campaign and later went into hiding.

Mr Mundia confirmed to the Daily Nation that he was in hiding but could not comment on the shooting.
Police spokesperson, Esther Katongo, said officers who visited both scenes of crime invited the two candidates but Mr Mundia did not turn up.

When contacted yesterday, Ms Subulwa said that her life was in danger because Mr Mundia was still at large.

“My life is in danger,” she said.
Ms Subulwa said some of the suspects who were with Mr Mundia at the time of the attack, had also not been arrested.

She said that the suspects were dangerous because they were using fire arms and other weapons.
The PF candidate called on the police to quickly arrest some of the suspects who were on the run and accused Mr Mundia of being used by the UPND to bring her down.

She disclosed that during the riot which she described as artificial, some individuals were ferried from Senanga and other places to Sioma clad in brand UPND t-shirts.

Ms Subulwa said that Mr Mundia and his group destroyed a hired vehicle which they thought belonged to Government.
“The only thing I can advise these people is that let us fight in the ballot because it is not the first time even in 2015 the UPND candidate attacked me left and centre but this time the damage is too much. They must be arrested because I cannot close my eyes, I don’t know might come for me, “she said.

She further refuted reports that she stabbed Mr Mundia stating she was a peace-loving person.
Police arrested 15 people for malicious damage to property and riotous behavior in Sioma following counter accusations.

This was after Ms Subulwa reported that she was attacked by Mr Mundia while he also reported she had attached him.
