DON’T DROP THE GUARD AMID REDUCED COVID 19 CASES

Dear editor,

I implore people to continue adhering to the Covid 19 health prevention guidelines despite a reduction in the coronavirus pandemic. Zambia has in the recent past been recording reduced cases of Covid 19.

The reduction in the number of coronavirus cases can be attributed to the much sensitisation by the Ministry of Health authority encouraging people to mask up, washing hands with soap, sanitising, observing social distancing, avoiding overcrowded places and getting vaccinated.

The admission cases of Covid 19 patients in the health facilities have also reduced. This is good news but people should not be too reluctant to overlook the health prevention guidelines.

The reduction in the number of coronavirus cases can also be attributed to the change of weather as the days are getting warmer. It is a well-known fact that Covid 19 is real and it has ravaged the entire world going by the number of people who have succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the health experts, there is another wave of coronavirus which might break out in Zambia as it has already broken out in other countries. Having said this, it is imperative for people to continue following the Covid 19 health prevention guidelines.

In conclusion, the coronavirus pandemic is still in our midst. Therefore, people should not drop the guard in fighting the disease which has claimed many lives so far.
