THE RACE IS OVER ANS ANOTHER MP WAS ELECTED FOR MUSHINDAMO DISTRICT

Dear editor,
It’s been an amazing journey and am beyond grateful and thankful to everyone that believed in me and ensured we campaigned as if it were our last.

My belief has always been that, there is no win or lose when you are fighting for humanity, instead there only lessons learnt as the current candle holder is equally as determined.
Am proud to have been the first Female and Youth to have successfully stood for Parliamentary position in Mushindamo .Goals balongo, Goals……

To the President Elect, Mr Hakahinde Hichilema, Congratulations for the Win.
To President Edgar Changwa Lungu, what a tremendous walk for Zambia, your work shall forever speak for you and thank you for been whom you have been to us, Lesa alemipala lyonse fye.
I salute every youth and Woman, Women who took a chance at contesting this year’s Elections at whatever level….2026 let us come back even stronger, wiser and much more determined.

Every woman and youth awoke to the fact that we indeed aren’t just the future but the present.
I pray and hope that we continue and maintain visiting our Constituencies even with elections still been as far as 2026,am certain without a doubt most of us developed a relationship with our people.

I personally came across different saddening situations during my campaigns that with our cooperation and God’s help I will ensure can be lessened.
Those teenage girls been married off at a tender age, the girl child that doesn’t go to school due to various reasons, the wonderful grandma’s that barely afford a meal per day, the high illiteracy levels amongst the children and youth (who happen to be tomorrow’s future),the women that have to walk long distances just to put to birth, the dilapidated state of those community schools that have been unattended to for decades. ooooh Lord God!!!!!! help me be the ray of light amongst my people.

God Bless us all and shall we have a greater zest for success going forward.
Khitambo Ruth Kayukwa
