POLICE ARREST A PF MEMBER FOR THREATENING VIOLENCE WITH A PISTOL
Police in Solwezi have arrested and detained Patriotic Front North Western province vice chairman Friday Mulemfwe for threatening violence with a Pistol.
According to a police statement issued by the North Western Province Police Commissioner Joe Njase, Mulemfwe 60 of House No 1295, Mitec area threatened to kill Rodgers Tangaika 40 of Cheshire compound with a Ruger pistol serial No B686148.
Mr Njase stated that this happened on Sunday after a confrontation over the death of the late PF provincial chairman Jackson Kungo.
“In the process, Mr Mulemfwe produced a pistol loaded with one round of ammunition and pointed it at Tangaika with a view to shoot him,” said Mr Njase.
He said the pistol bearing serial No B686148 had been confiscated from the suspect ammunition together with a spare magazine loaded with 14 rounds.
“Another 15 rounds of 9 millimeter ammunition was recovered from his vehicle Toyota Land cruiser registration number BAJ 3421,” he said.
He said the suspect has been arrested and charged for the offence of threatening violence and will appear in court soon.
