Chitimukulu rallies support for new Govt
By STEPHEN MWEWA
PARAMOUNT Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba has called on all Bemba chiefs to support the new UPND government.
Chitimukulu said chiefs were the part and parcel of any government, hence the need for them to give support towards national development.
He also advised the losing Patriotic Front councillors, mayors and Members of Parliament to be loyal to the new administration under President Hakainde Hichilema.
He was speaking yesterday at his palace in Mungwi when the Bemba Electoral College appointed Mr Bwalya Nkula as Chief Makasa.
At the same occasion, Mr Peter Chanda was appointed Chief Chikwanda and Mr Stephen Ng’andu as Chief Luchembe.
The traditional leader said chiefs, receive subsidies from the government, because they are part of the government, hence the need for Bemba chiefs to support President Hichilema.
