A MAN clad in a UPND T-shirt was was on killed and dumped at Hellen Dump Site in Chingola.
The man who is suspected to have been a UPND member was beaten to death and was discovered on Wednesday morning face upwards with a deep cut on the lower lip, swollen face and bleeding from the nose.
Police have therefore instituted an investigation in the matter.
Copperbelt Commissioner of Police, Elias Chushi, said the body was found by Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU)members at the dumpsite which is off the Chingola – Chilillabombwe road.
“Members of the CCPU quickly alerted the police upon discovering of the dead body on Wednesday at around 09:00 hours.
“The body of the deceased who was wearing a UPND T-shirt was found laying facing upwards with a deep cut on the lower lip, swollen face and bleeding from the nose,” he said.
Mr Chushi added that the body was deposited in Nchanga North General Hospital Mortuary, awaiting identification and postmortem.
