KAMBWILI SLAMS FR LUONDE

By ADRIAN MWANZA

PF member Chishimba Kambwili has castigated NDC national chairman Father Richard Luonde on his sentiments that the party will never bounce back to power. He insisted that the PF would work hard and bounce back to power as the political dynamics had changed.

Mr Kambwili, who ditched the NDC presidency and rejoined the PF said it was unfortunate that the man of God could utter such words when campaigns were long gone and that it was time for hard work.

He said the clergyman had his own opinion and that he respected it but that such rhetoric would not put food on the table.

Mr Kambwili said that what was important was for the ruling party under the stewardship of Hakainde Hichilema to ensure that they fulfil the promises to the Zambians.

He said the wings of the PF could have been clipped but it did not mean they would not grow back since dynamics had now changed. He said he had confidence that the PF would bounce back from the defeat and get back to winning ways and urged the cleric not divide the country.

“Mind you it’s a new dawn and politics are not like they were in the past, youths are enlightened and they can read the situation and act if they are not impressed with the current government,” Mr Kambwili said.

He said that in the past the trend was different and that when a political party was ejected, it was hard for them to bounce back. Meanwhile, Mr Kambwili said that people needed to give the new president time to prove himself rather than start politicking because the campaign period was over and done with.
