PURGE OLD-FASHIONED POLITICIANS, KACHINGWE ADVISES PF

By NOEL IYOMBWA

THE Patriotic Front (PF) should leave out old-fashioned politicians as it rebrands and consider changing the name of the party, former MMD National Secretary Richard Kachingwe has said.

Major Kachingwe said that the party should change its leadership and change its name as a sure way of rebranding.

He advised members to stay together and instead of criticising one another as they rebuild the party.

“Party members should change the name of the party and stay focused if it is to bounce back in power and the leadership should also be changed somehow.

“This is Africa, anything is possible, so the party should be rebranded and change some of the leaders,” Maj Kachingwe said.

He said the members should sit down and find ways in which to offer checks and balances for the new government. And former minister of Water Development and Sanitation and Environment Protection in the PF government Raphael Nakacinda has advised its members not to fall into self-destruction, but calm down and let things to flow like in the past.

He said that it was too early to start criticising one another over leadership in the party but that members should stay together.
