Nasty D, 2wice link up

By LIFESTYLE REPORTER
VETERAN Musicians Davies Ngoma also known as Nasty D and Callen Chisha famously known as 2wice on Thursday linked up for a catch up meeting on their music journeys.

The two musicians who trace their friendship as way back as Zambezi Music, have in the recent past worked on several separate music projects.

The two also have a history of being pioneers of modern Zambian music and had several collaborations together.

Could their meeting at the 2wice Art Gallery, Novare Mall Lusaka signal a possible joint project?

” We met to discuss among other things our plan to work on a musical tour across the country. Of course we were also catching up on where we are as individual artistes, shared some ideas and so on,” responded 2wice, who is currently running the art gallery at Novare Mall. The ‘Tomato Balunda’ hit maker said he was happy with the catch up. 2wice currently has new album called, ‘ Reinvented’ . This is an eight-track album he believes is revisiting his love for social commentary.
On the other hand, Nasty D says the link up was fruitful and opens ways to a country music tour.
” We want to do a tour across the country of course in selected towns. We want to share our music mostly in a passionate way, have unplugged sessions and just enjoy what we love to do,” Nasty D explained.

The Zambezi Music pioneer also hinted he is almost done with his new album.

” I almost ready to release my new project, just working on one or two things. I am calling the album Zambezi Roots and it is basically something connecting me to the music that inspired my music career over the years,” said Nasty D.
