PROBE LAND SCANDALS THROUGH SPECIAL TASK FORCE, GOVT ADVISED

By PETER SICHALI

GOVERNMENT should set up a task force on land to deal with illegal land dealings, UPPZ president Charles Chanda has said.

Mr Chanda said there were a lot of dubious land dealings that could only be curtailed by a special task force.

He said the Ministry of Lands was a sophisticated cartel that had allegedly been behind illegal land dealings.

“The Ministry of Lands is a sophisticated cartel that should be addressed by a special task force,” Mr Chanda said. He said there was a parallel ministry that has all the documentation that were at the genuine Ministry of Lands offices.

“I have offered to help recover 2, 048 hectares Njolwe land that was shared by Ministry of Lands officials and others.

“This Ministry of Lands is a sophisticated cartel. They run a parallel ministry that has all the documents,” Mr Chanda said.
