Kapata counsels Chaisa residents over security

PLAY a part in ensuring that Chaisa and the surrounding areas is crime free, Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata has told members of the community.

Ms Kapata said there has been a rise in crime in most parts of the constituency due to an increase in population. She was speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of Chaisa police post,
She said the area has a police post which is functional but it is in a deplorable state and has proved to be a challenge for both the community and police to operate especially that it has no proper sanitation.
Ms Kapata, who is also minister of Lands and Natural Resources said police post will cost
K577, 242.
She expressed confidence that the new police post will boost the morale of officers operating there and will make it easy for her to request for more manpower for the police post.
Ms Kapata also urged the public to take care of the building and guard it jealously and play a part in making the area a crime-free neighbourhood.
