ZNS Command demand positive results

…as Lameck Banda and Bupe Chewe are unveiled new Prison Leopards coaches

By MICHAEL MIYOBA

THE ZNS command has challenged the new Prison Leopards Football Club technical bench led by Lameck Banda and his assistant Bupe Chewe to settle quickly and get down to business to help the team grind positive results.

ZNS Deputy Commissioner General Bwalya Kuyomba said the Command was determined to support the new technical bench to help the team to move to a health position on the MTN Zambia Super League table.

Prison Leopards are currently 16th on the log with 10 points from two wins, four draws and six defeats.

Kuyomba said ZNS believes in the new bench consisting of youthful coaches who replaced coach Chris Kaunda who resigned eleven days after he was unveiled as head coach.

“With your coming, we are very positive that you are going to help change the tables. We are confident that the team will be in a safer zone. We just need about two or three games to push to a safer zone and that is our priority now so work on those and the performance will speak on its own,” Kuyomba said.

He encouraged the new coaches to feel free to engage the command any time in a quest to help the team to get to a safer zone.

“What we want is to see the team progressing not for the team to have a negative ground, we want it to be on the positive side,” he said.

Kuyomba also encouraged the new technical bench not to create divisions in the team as the two new coaches will be working with people who have been at the club for a long time.

And Prison Leopards FC Chairperson General Steven Sikaonga challenged the new technical bench to fight to qualify the team for the CAF interclub championship.

“Our target is still to play CAF and I still believe that we can play CAF and with your coming in I think you get to think about that target,” Sikaonga said

He noted that the immediate target is to help the team to escape the relegation zone before thinking about the main objective of playing in the CAF Interclub Championship.

Meanwhile, Banda hailed the ZNS Command and the club management for trusting him with the responsibility to lead Prison Leopards as its new head gaffer.

Banda who helped FC MUZA to finish second to qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup during the 2022/2023 soccer season before he left to join Lumwana Radiants said he will do his best to ensure that the objectives for the season are achieved.
