Apply for more rallies – Hamasaka

…but warns the opposition leaders against using their rallies to spread hate speech because that would be in breach of the law and would be arrested, advises that the gatherings should be used to propose alternative solutions to drought, free education

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has never at any time stopped or blocked the opposition from exercising their right of assembly by blocking them and it is politically incorrect to accuse the head of State of blocking them, State House has said.

And State House is encouraging the opposition political parties to apply to the Zambia Police for many more political rallies but has cautioned that such gatherings should never be used as platforms to insult President Hichilema and propagate hate speech and malice against Zambians.

Clayson Hamasaka, the State House Chief Communications Specialist says Zambia was a democracy and that if the opposition shall continue following the law in notifying the police about their gatherings, they shall always be allowed to gather and sale themselves. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
