Ndola Energy powered back to life 105MW capacity

ENERGY Minister Peter Kapala has commissioned the Ndola Energy 105 megawatts power plant and has directed the energy company to expand its operations by putting up a 200 megawatts solar power plant.

Mr Kapala, during the commissioning yesterday said the 105 megawatts would make a significant difference with regard to power generation in the country. 

He said with the power deficit the country was facing, Government had resolved to import electricity and restart some power plants that had not been operational in the country.
