Zambia’s diplomats silence on current atrocities questioned

SENSIO Banda, a former law maker, has accused diplomats accredited to Zambia of turning a blind eye against atrocities allegedly committed by the Hakainde Hichilema regime.

Mr Banda said there was a deafening silence from Western diplomats who, during the previous administration, spoke out and criticised the Patriotic Front (PF) administration for alleged human rights abuses.

“The previous administration faced criticism from Western nations for infringements on human rights and constitutional violations, eventually leading to a change in leadership. This condemnation was driven by a commitment to democracy and the rule of law,” he said. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
