Archbishop of Lusaka urges Christians to be consistent in their spiritual journey

Archbishop of Lusaka, Alick Banda has urged Christians to be committed, have courage and consistency in their spiritual journey.

Reverend Dr. Banda was speaking during the Charismatic Renewal three day rally held at Edwin Imboela stadium in Lusaka under the theme “Christ Centered Character”.

“We are here to rekindle the fire of our faith, to stir up the gifts of the Holy Spirit within us, and to respond to the call of Jesus, who invites us to follow Him more closely, to love Him more deeply, and to serve Him more faithfully as Christ centered people.”

He called upon people to reflect on their own paths and renew their dedication to living a life of faith and service.

Rev. Banda explained that the theme for the rally calls on people to a life of commitment in the service to others, a life of courage in giving out the Gospel and a life of consistency in making others live a Christ centered character.

He added that to have a Christ-centered life means to abide in Christ, to walk as Jesus walked not just in our words, but in actions and thoughts.

He noted that people must live lives in obedience with His words and love for His commands.

The three day rally was characterised by Praise and worship, prayers and testimonies from individuals among others. ZANIS
