RENOWNED Zambian actress and filmmaker Cassie Kabwita fondly called by her industry name King Cassie was early this month honored with an award by the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards(HAPA).
Announcing the development on her socials, Kabwita who has done tramendous work both locally and internationally, could not hide her excitement .
” We got crowned as the Best Female International Actor by HAPA Awards 2024,” she stated.
” We received an extremely beautiful trophy at the 8th HOLLYWOOD AND AFRICAN PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS #hapawards held for the first time in history in Africa , Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania.”
Cassie said working in foreign countries has really been challenging but that she has had to learn the languages everywhere she goes, including their culture, their food and respect the values of each country.
” Sometimes I get discriminated and called a foreigner, I get disqualified in their competitions because I am not originally from there, I get homesick, sometimes I miss out on important events back home, wedding celebrations and funerals BUT I keep pushing coz this is the life I signed up for the day I joined the arts,” she shares.
” I am overwhelmed with gratitude for your unwavering support , Your belief in me means the world, and I am deeply thankful for each and every one of you.”
