RENOWNED FIFA referee Diana Chikotesha has been chosen to officiate the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic football semifinal between four-time gold medallists USA and Rio 2016 champions Germany.
Chikotesha will serve as an assistant referee in today’s match, marking a historic first – it’s the first time a trio of African referees will officiate a semifinal in either the men’s or women’s competition.
