A MEDICAL expert has testified that a 14-year-old maid, Janet Mpundu, died due to blunt impact trauma due to assault.
Forensic pathologist, Dr. Cordelia Himwaze, presented her findings in the murder case against a couple of Chalala, Smart Mumba and Chanda Majory Lwembo, accused of killing Janet on August 28, 2023.
Dr. Himwaze’s testimony was chilling, as she showed the court a photo album documenting Janet’s multiple injuries before Lusaka High Court judge Vincent Siloka. The postmortem examination revealed punctured abrasions covering Janet’s entire upper back.
