Let’s begin to defend HH – Matambo
…says it is time President Hichilema got defended from baseless attacks and criticism as well as promote his works

UPND Copperbelt Provincial Chairman Elisha Matambo has urged Zambians to defend President Hakainde Hichilema from the attacks of opposition politicians particularly those who messed up the Copperbelt province which was the main economic driver of the nation.
Mr Matambo, who is also the Copperbelt Provincial Minister, said the opposition have been attacking President Hichilema without shame and so it was time people defended the republican President who has brought development in all areas.
The ‘UPND Copperbelt Strong man said in Chingola where he met the UPND structures that the Copperbelt was messed up by what he termed armchair critics who had no better alternatives.
He said the people on the Copperbelt had seen the good works of President Hichilema should therefore defend his works.
“President Hichilema has put this country on a path to economic recovery, but the good for nothing opposition parties have gone on rampage attacking President Hichilema despite his tireless efforts to achieve economic recovery, As UPND Copperbelt provincial chairman, am asking Zambians to defend President Hichilema
“The Copperbelt was messed up by the current armed chair critiques who have no better alternatives and residents who have seen the works of the President should defend his good works,” Mr Matambo said
Mr Matambo said roads which were neglected such as Fisenge road was almost completed for public use, while “Chingola-Chililabombwe road was now complete,
“Other roads like Chililabombwe-Kasumbalesa road is also complete, KCM has been fixed, Mopani has been fixed, Shaft28 has been fixed, almost all level one hospitals are complete in all the districts on the Copperbelt” he said.
He further said Jobs have been created in the public sector and an environment for Job creation has been created by the Hakainde Hichilema led government where youths are being employed.
Mr Matambo further called on the party structures to mobilizse up to the polling station management committees to ensure landslide victory for the President and the UPND government on 13th August 2026.
The Copperbelt Province UPND Chairman also used this opportunity to distribute Motorbikes and Bicycles donated by the President for mobilisation as he shared the roadmap to 2026 general elections.
Hon Matambo was accompanied by his Provincial Management Committee and Mr Greezer Shaputu the National Deputy Treasure General who also encouraged Chingola residents to work hard and win big again in the next election.
