ECL demands recusal of three remaining ConCourt Judges
…accuses Justices Munalula, Shilimi, Kawimbe of being conflicted because of their close relationship to President Hichilema, raising fears of bias, therefore unfit to preside over his eligibility case

THREE Constitutional Court Judges, including its president, Justice Professor Margaret Munalula, her deputy Justice Arnold Shilimi, and Justice Maria Kawimbe have been asked to recuse themselves from presiding over former President Edgar Lungu’s eligibility case on grounds that the trio are professionally conflicted.
And the Judicial Complaints Commission (JCC) yesterday refused to hear former Zambia’s Sixth President Edgar Lungu’s complaint against three Constitutional Court Judges, whom the head of State has petitioned the court that they should recuse themselves from his eligibility case.
