JASON Mwanza and two others have applied for a writ of habeas corpus, arguing that their continued detention without charge or court appearance violates their right to liberty.
Mr. Mwanza, Chanda Chikwanka, and Thomas Zulu have joined the long list of political detainees in the country after they were arrested on August 28, 2024, and have been held at Lusaka Central Police Station without being informed of the grounds for their detention.
