A CRITICAL shortage of mealie meal is looming in Kitwe following the increased hours of load shedding, which has adversely affected the operations of various milling companies thereby drastically reducing production of the staple food.
Investigations by the Daily Nation in Kitwe revealed that following the increased load shedding hours, the operation hours of most milling companies have been reduced to between six and seven hours, a situation which has adversely affected production at various milling companies
