You can’t quit, Zesco halts mass resignations of unionised, management staff

ZESCO Limited is experiencing a wave of employee exodus as many of its management staff submitted letters for voluntary separation from the power utility firm.
The company has been struggling due to nationwide load shedding, with Managing Director Victor Mapani stating that it is losing US$35 million because of power outages.
Reports indicate that both management and unionised employees have begun resigning from their positions after uncertainty has been created because of the power utility’s inability to sustain its wage bill.
