FORMER Works and Supply Minister Mike Mulongoti has warned that PF will disintegrate before 2016 because of the fight Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba has started against people loyal to the ruling party.

And Mr. Mulongoti said that he will next year lunch a political party after the completion of paper work.

In an interview, Mr. Mulongoti told the Daily Nation that the fights Mr. Kabimba was unleashing on senior party officials had the potential to divide the PF, adding that the sooner he realised that the better for the party and its leadership.

Mr. Mulongoti said that it was unfortunate that Mr. Kabimba was unable to see the bridge that he had created in the party, which had also created groups.

He said that it was the highest order of indiscipline for Mr. Kabimba to think that he was holier than thou and had monopoly of wisdom which he did not have.

“As I said earlier, Mr. Sata needs help to govern this country according to the plan and principles of democracy but not with Kabimba nearer because he is a spoiler. He doesn’t want people like Lameck Mangani. This is a man who worked tirelessly to ensure that the PF wins support in Eastern Province. I know he is scared of Mangani because he can deliver,” he said.

Mr. Mulongoti said that the PF should not take advantage of the desire of the people to accord them chance to govern the country, adding that treating people in a way that created confusion, would be costly for the party and President Sata himself.

And Mr. Mulongoti has said that democracy requires a good will of leadership to strive in a multiparty system.

Briefing the Daily Nation about his intention to form a political party, Mr. Mulongoti said that Zambia needed a strong opposition which would listen to the cry of the people and offer an alternatives.

He said that currently the opposition had its own problems it needed to resolve, but that he did not agree with its main objective when it came to serving the people’s interests.

Mr. Mulongoti said that his party was in process and would offer alternatives to the current leadership of Mr. Sata, adding that the  new party would be launched some time next year after paper work was completed.

“Yes we are forming a party and will give it a name after we are done with stakeholders consultative meetings. We are still doing paper work and we are hoping that we shall do it soon,” he said.
