HH’S ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT STORY – A FIGMENT OF HIS WILD IMAGINATION

Dear Editor,

IT is laughable that UPND President Hakainde Hichilema is now resorting to very desperate means of creating political relevance as he faces another electoral defeat this August 12.

Mr Hichilema is the politician who has openly disregarded the directive to suspend campaign rallies and large processions. He has been feigning trouble since he arrived on the Copperbelt and the Zambian Police have been very professional in defusing the tension that he and his entourage have been raising since his arrival.

To the initiated, please don’t lose sleep over Mr Hichilema’s assassination attempt story, this is the same lies we have been fed as a nation for many years. The gentleman somehow believes there is always someone out to kill him. Truly there is no rest for the wicked.

It should be noted that no one, state or non-state actor has and will ever even think of taking the life of Mr Hichilema. He has lived his over 20 years attempting albeit, in a futile manner to become Head of State without any single attempt on hislife. Why should it be now with only a few months to go would anyone even think of killing him?

In the final analysis, the story which emanated from Chingola fits into Mr Hichilema’s typical case of over rating one self.  A figment of his wild imagination.

BOWMAN LUSAMBO.
