LOLC FINANCE ZAMBIA DONATES TO ARTHUR WINA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

…as Her Honour the Republican Vice-President Inonge Mutukwa Wina says the donated medical supplies would be shared with Lewanika General Hospital

REPUBLICAN Vice-President Inonge Wina has said the people of Nalolo District are going to benefit from a donation of medical supplies worth k25, 000 made to the Arthur Wina Memorial Foundation by LOLC Finance Zambia.

Mrs Wina said this when she received the donation on behalf of the Foundation at her residence in Lusaka yesterday.

The Arthur Wina Memorial Foundation runs the Arthur Wina Memorial Hospital which has state-of-the-art equipment for the underprivileged in Nalolo District of Western Province.

Her Honour the Vice-president said the medical supplies were going to help the hospital and the community most of whom walk for many kilometers to access the free healthcare services from the facility.

“This will surely help the Arthur Wina Memorial Hospital and the Nalolo community tremendously,” Mrs Wina said.

She has since thanked LOLC Finance Zambia Limited Company through its Managing Director Elmo Jayetileke for handing over the medical supplies to the Foundation.

She said the hospital was always running with the help from well wishers like LOLC Finance Zambia and the Foundation was open to more partnerships with the private sector.

And Mrs Wina has stated that part of the donated items would be shared with Lewanika General Hospital also in Western Province.

Some of the medical supplies donated include dettol antiseptic liquid, RB tone syrup, RB tone caps, Gauze swab, Clotri Denk vaginal tabs, and Gaviscon among others.

And LOLC Finance Zambia Managing Director Elmo Jayetileke said his firm was delighted to make an impact on the people of Nalolo District through the Arthur Wina Memorial Hospital.

Mr Jayetileke said it did not matter how much the donation costed but the idea of giving was what counted the most.

“The cost of the donation does not really matter. what matters most is the thought and desire to give and we are happy to give to the hospital and the underprivileged community in Nalolo,” he said.
