FOCUS on healing the nation from the political trauma and tribalism to achieve the desired development, the Southern African Centre for Constructive Resolution of Disputes SACCORD has urged President Hakainde Hichilema and his administration.
SACCORD executive director Boniface Chembe, said the country has been plagued with many acts of political violence that have claimed the lives of both the Patriotic Front (PF) and the UPND.
Mr. Chembe said in an interview that healing the nation should be top on the UPND agenda because without it the nation cannot undergo proper trauma healing.
He said a nation cannot undergo trauma healing if there is no room for forgiveness and reconciliation and once that was done, people would be able to bury the hatchet, forge ahead and bring about unity with a focus on development.
