PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu deserves another term because he has shown the desire to change the social and economic situation of the country, former Minister of Finance Katele Kalumba has said.
Dr Kalumba said “We judge a person by his leadership style and President Lungu has shown that he is a President for all.
The former minister said Luapula Province was described to be the poorest in the country but President Lungu had taken development to the area.
He said in an interview yesterday, even the MMD even after being in power for 20 years failed to change the outlook of the province.
Dr Kalumba said in the few years President Lungu had been in power, he had shown the zeal to change development trajectory of the region.
Dr Kalumba was commenting on the launch of construction of the Samfya Convention Centre among other projects in Kawambwa and Mansa districts.
President Lungu is in Luapula Province for a three-day working visit.
Dr Kalumba said people, especially in Luapula must open their eyes and recognise all the good things the Head of State was doing to change the social and economic status.
“President Lungu does not come from Luapula but he has shown the determination to change the trajectory of the province.
We need to support him for uplifting the province. And he is completing projects which were forgotten for years now and this need to be appreciated,” Dr Kalumba said
He said Zambians, particularly in Luapula should not be misled by the opposition because President Lungu means well for them.
