ZANACO FC shot to the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super Division table after bouncing back from the 3-0 loss to Lusaka Dynamos with an emphatic 6-1 crushing of Young Green Eagles in a mid-week-7 fixture at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

Striker Rodger Kola became the first player in the Super Division to score a hat-trick as the side shot to the top of the 18-team Super Division table with 11 points.
Kola broke the deadlock seven minutes after kickoff before midfielder Baba Basile doubled Zanaco’s advantage in the 31st minute.
Kola made it 3-0 three minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 42nd minute as the first half ended 4-0 in favour of the home team.
Zanaco continued to dominate the second half and were able to find the back of the net through Moses Phiri and Albert Kangwanda who scored in the dying minutes of the second half.
Greenwell Witika scored the consolation goal as Young Green Eagles recorded their heaviest defeat of the season.
Meanwhile, Ndola giants Zesco United moved to second on the Super Division table after beating Kitwe United 1-0 at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe.
Young Enock Sakala who rescued Zesco from loosing to Green Buffaloes on Sunday with a late equaliser in the 1-1 stalemate, scored a lone goal in the 75th minute as Zesco collected the maximum three points to move to 11points, on par with Zanaco who enjoy a better goal difference of five goals compared to Zanaco’s one goal.
At Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, Nkwazi came from behind to pick their first win of the season after beating Red Arrows 2-1.
Nkwazi had given Arrows the lead through an own goal before Pride Mwansa and Eric Choomba scored the two goals for the Zambia Police-sponsored outfit to carry the day.
At Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka, Green Buffaloes and Lusaka Dynamos maintained their unbeaten run after recording a goalless stalemate.
The fixture, which produced end to end attacking football saw Dynamos hitting the crossbar twice.
The stalemate propelled both Buffaloes and Dynamos to nine points.
Meanwhile Kabwe Warriors and Buildcon entertained their fans in a six-goal thriller as they settled for a 3-3 draw at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe.
