KABWATA aspirant Clement Tembo has handed over 1, 000 chicks and poultry supplies to Kabwata Constituency Based Schools as empowerment Initiative.
Last week Mr Tembo promised various schools that he would empower them with poultry supplies and has fulfilled his promise through their Parent Teachers Association ( PTA).
Various PTA committees submitted proposals weeks ago in which they requested for empowerment.
Mr Tembo, said he would ensure that he bought all the feed for the chickens and and yesterday ensured that the committees left his offices with the chicks and feed..
Mr Tembo also said he understood the challenges that schools faced in Kabwata constituency and he would help them raise funding to ease some of their pressures.
He said, teachers played a pivotal role ensuring that learners get the best education.
Mr Tembo said, his doors remained open to anyone who needed help , because not every person may have everything in life.
” I was born in Kabwata and did my education in Kabwata, therefore I understand when it comes to running of schools,” said Mr Tembo.
Among the items donated were day old chicks, stock feeds and chemicals for the projects. It’s expected that PTAs would be from now be able to raise funds from within their chicken business for their operations.
