MTN Super League defending champions Nkana’s quest to survive relegation suffered another setback losing 2-1 to Lusaka Dynamos in a Week-31 fixture played yesterday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

A brace from Willy Stephanas crushed the Kitwe giants hopes after enjoying two consecutive wins over Zesco United and Power Dynamos in their last two matches.

Staphenas broke the deadlock from well taken free kick in the 62nd minute.

However, veteran Striker Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba restored parity two minutes later.

Stephanas completed his brace 10 minutes before the final whistle as the visitors bounced back from defeat to Green Eagles.

The loss angered Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi who described it as a drawback to the team’s fight against relegation.

Meanwhile, striker Moses Phiri helped Zanaco avoid defeat at Nkoloma Stadium after coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Green Buffaloes.

Nicholas Mulilo had given Buffaloes the lead in the 22nd minute.

Zanaco had to wait for the second half to snatch a draw when Phiri scored the equaliser in the 64th minute.

The stalematd pushed Zanaco to 50 points, five points behind league leaders Zesco United who are on 55 points.

In an early kick off at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe, Napsa Stars put up a spirited fight to beat Indeni FC 4-1.

Young Jimmy Mukeya and Bornwel Mwape were the heroes of the day for the Pensioners as they scored a double brace to inspire their side to victory.

Mukeya put Napsa ahead in the ninth minute before Mwape doubled the lead in the 37th minute as the first half ended 2-0 in favour of the visitors.

Cephas Handavu pulled one goal back for Indeni five minutes into the second half but Mwape restored Napsa’s two-goal lead a minute later.

Tiki Chiluba reduced the lead in the 53rd minute before Graven Chitalu made it 3-3 in the 63rd minute.

Drama was not over as Mukeya punished Indeni’s clumsy defence in the dying minutes of the match to give Napsa a win which propelled them to 36 points.

At Independence Stadium in Choma, Emmanuel Okutu cancelled out Anos Tembo’s 14th minute goal as Buildcon held Green Eagles to a 1-1 stalemate.

Prison Leopards beat Lumwana Radiant 1-0 at President Stadium in Kabwe to move to 12 points on the 18-team Super Division table with 38 points.
