PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has cautioned Patriotic Front (PF) members against “dirty” campaigns of character assassination, advising that campaigns should be based on its manifesto.
President Lungu directed PF members to explain the manifesto to the electorate, what the party was earmarked to do and what had been achieved so far.
He said Government was committed to Christian values and that there was need to avoid dirty campaigns of character assassination.
President Lungu said there was need for substance in campaigns by talking about development that the party had delivered.
He was speaking when he officially launched the PF national campaign 2021 in Lusaka yesterday at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
President Lungu emphasised that the PF would continue to uphold the rule of law as well as respecting the separation of powers.
