NORTH-WEST PF READY FOR POLLS

By JACKSON MAPAPAYI

THE Patriotic Front (PF) in North-Western Province says it is ready for the forthcoming August 12 general elections.

PF provincial youth chairman, Aminon Hara, said that now that the campaigns had commenced, the ruling party would not leave any stone unturned in order to ensure that President Edgar Lungu was retained in State House.

Mr Hara said in Solwezi that foot-soldiers and members would go flat out in all the corners of the province in securing the votes for all candidates.

“We believe that what the party has in the last five years will speak for us,” Mr Hara said.

He urged people not to experiment leadership as President Lungu has proved that he is the right person to lead the country.

“Let me take this opportunity to urge our people in the province to rally behind President Lungu and all PF candidates so that meaningful development can be attained,” he said.

Mr Hara assured President Lungu that the party in the province was ready to defend the presidency.

He said that the party was strategising on how it would conduct the campaigns without flouting the Covid-19 guidelines. He said the party would follows the directive by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) not to hold public rallies as one way of preventing the spread of the pandemic.
