I AM not bitter for being left out of the parliamentary race and I am still an active Patriotic Front (PF) member, Mulenga Sata has said.
Mr Sata said he was still a member of the PF mobilization team and had would continue supporting the President Edgar Lungu as well as all the candidates that were adopted under the PF ticket.
Mr Sata was reacting to sentiments that he had abandoned the ruling party after being left out during the adoption process for the Kabwata parliamentary seat.
“I have made myself available to the party and I have no intention of resigning,” he said.
He said he would not be derailed by detractors and purveyors of misinformation, who were claiming that he has stopped working with PF.
Mr Sata said that campaigns were voluntary and people should understand that there were many ways of campaigning aside being on main stream media.
“Campaigns are not limited to TV, Radio and social media,” he said.
He said that the allegations being labelled against him were tantamount to cyberbullying.
Mr Sata said that he has been campaigning for the party and yesterday he was with members of the central committee. “I’ve been corroborating as we speak just yesterday I was talking to Sunday Chanda on how I can come to Kanchibiya and help him and plan how we can work on the copper belt,” he said.
He said people should not forget that there was life beyond politics.
“This simply means that I have more time and resources to reinvest in my various enterprises,” he said.
Mr Sata was reacting to comments going round that he has stopped working with the PF simply because he was not adopted to run for
Kabwata.
