MWIIMBU WARNS VIOLENT CADRES

POLITICAL cadres attacking opponents and innocent in- dividuals must immediately stop it or risk being arrested, government as warned.

And Inspector general of police, Lemmy Kajoba directed police officers to be swift in responding to reports made by the public so that they could quickly get rid of criminals torment- ing people in communities.

Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister, Jack Mwiimbu, warned cadres belonging to both the ruling and opposition political parties to immediately stop engaging in violence or face the wrath of the law.

And Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Garry Nkombo, said both the party and the government would not tolerate violent behaviour.

Mr Nkombo said PF cadres had the right to have their space to live harmoniously among fellow Zambians

Mr Nkombo was speaking when he officiated at the installa- tion of Kitwe Mayor, Mpasa Mwaya yesterday.

Meanwhile, Mr Kajoba said heinous acts or any other form of criminal activity would not be allowed to happen under his watch.
