SHOWCASE ZAMBIAN SCENERY,STUDENTS URGED

ZAMBIAN students have been advised to take advantage of a short video competition dubbed “The Most Beautiful Stories of China-Zambia Friendship” which has been launched to sale Zambia’s attractions to the world, Global Times Online has said. The competition, which seeks to depict the Zambia Regional Round of the Third “Belt and Road Short Video Competition”, is open to college students in Zambia.
The participants stand to win a grand prize, or one of the three second prizes. The Most Beautiful Stories of China-Zambia Friendship’ short video competition is organized by the Global Times Online (Huanqiu.com) and the overall winners would be announced in the Zambia-China Forum. The competition is supported by China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park and the Belt and Road Institute of Science and Technology (BRIST), which is an institution based in Zambia.
BRIST focuses on youth human resource development linking Zambia and China cooperation and offers entrepreneurship skills training.
TopStar, a joint venture between State broadcaster ZNBC and StarTimes, is the leading media group and digital television service provider with a strong presence in Zambia, and is the core media partner of the video competition.
According to a statement issued by Global Times Online, the video competition will be held under the theme “The Most Beautiful Stories of China-Zambia Friendship”. The aim of the competition is to show that Zambia and China share the same destiny.
The competition will also indicate the two countries’ determination to jointly promote cultural exchange. Participants in the competition may share their stories about the friendship between the people of the two countries as they see it, or show their impressions of China in the short videos.
