EMPLOY RESEARCH BASED RESULTS IN EYE HEALTH

By STANSLOUS NGOSA

Health Minister Sylvia Masebo has directed eye experts in the ministry to put into practice results from the research recently conducted on eye health. Ms. Masebo says it is imperative to offer research based services to the people because eye health impacts on the social and economic growth of the country.

She said eye health impacts education, employment, quality of life, poverty and so many other Sustainable Development Goals, hence the need to pay extreme attention to sight. The minister said this in a speech read for her by Lusaka province Health Director Dr. Consity Mwale at the commemoration of the World Sight Day at University of Zambia Great East Road Campus.
