Minister appoints new water boards

New board of directors for three water and sanitation institutions have been constituted by   MINISTER of Water Development Mike Mposha.

Mr Mposha has constituted a seven-member board for the National Water and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) following the dissolution of the previous one last October.

Mr Mposha has also constituted the boards for the Lusaka Water and Sanitation Company (LWSC) and the Kafubu Water and Sanitation Company (KWSC).

He said the boards have been constituted according to section 3 part 1 of the Water Supply and Sanitation (Amendment) Act No 10 of 2005 and after wide consultations over the matter.

The new NWASCO board consists of Lillian Mutesu, Numeral Banda, Sylvester Hibajene, Malama Kasalwe, Naomi Banda Nguni, Oswell Katooka and Mwenda Hamanyati.

Meanwhile the LWSC board comprises of Paul Zion Bwalya as the chairperson, Agness Wilkins, Judith Beene, Nondo Kambinga, Tobias Musonda, Ennie Muchelemba, Jacob Mkandawire and Changwe Mulimbika.

The KWSC board comprises of Watson Ngambi, Richie Akabiwa Nawa, Cosmas Chalusa, Emmanuel Banda, Beatrice Kalonge, Caroline Sakala, Musapenda Phiri and Avis Sinkala.
