The Ventiglia family have dragged the Registrar at Patents and Company Registration Agency (PACRA) , Wilson Banda for contempt of court.
According to a letter from the Ventiglia family lawyers, Central Chambers to the PACRA Registrar, details on the register of Zambezi Portland Cement (ZPC) have been changed.
The letter authored by lead lawyer Sakwiba Sikota states that their clients, the Ventiglia have been removed from the register and replaced by Finsbury Investment Limited without a Court order.
The Lawyers have also indicated that they will seek for damages for the action done allegedly committed by Banda as an individual.
The letter has been copied to Attorney General and Banda has acknowledged receipt.
The Ventiglia family and Finsbury Investment Limited owned by Rajan Mhatani have been in a legal battle for a long time over the ownership of ZPC, a Ndola based Cement factory.
Last month there were two separate attempts to take over ZPC by force by the Finsbury Investment Limited representatives.
The second attempt resulted into violence and damages where a Mr Phesto Musonda and his colleague were apprehended by police for inciting violence, malicious damage.
