THE summoning by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is pure harassment because I am not involved in any corrupt practices, Patriotic Front (PF) National Mobilisation Chairperson Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has said.
In an interview, Mr Mwamba said the ACC is doing so because he is a member of the former ruling party.
He said whatever they are doing will not scare him in any way.
The former UPND vice president for administration said he is ready to face the ACC.
Mr Mwamba said the deal of about US$4.6 million he is being linked to is fake.
Mr Mwamba said he has never been involved in such deals they are accusing him of.
He said “I have not committed any offence as they are accusing me.
“The issue is that they have been summoning people especially those linked to PF but nothing comes out.
“So whatever they are doing to me is pure harassment because I am linked to PF.
“And I can assure them that I am not scared, why should I be anyway,” he said.
And Mr Mwamba said there is too much hypocrisy in the country especially under the UPND regime.
He said President Hakainde Hichilema and UPND want to show to the world that he was tolerant when he is not as he has continued to harass innocent people.
The ACC is pursuing Mr Mwamba for various cases among them, alleged money laundering and being in possession of property believed to be proceeds of crime.
