THE United Party for National Development (UPND) is still basking in its 2021 electoral victory and has remained completely detached from the reality that Zambians are unhappy and regretting having entrusted the governance of the country in the hands of President Hakainde Hichilema, Saboi Emboela has charged.
Ms Imboela has urged the new dawn administration to stop making pronouncements and pledges that they would not fulfil because citizens were already angry about the ever increasing cost of living under the watch of President Hichilema who had promised that things were going to be better, cheaper and easier.
Ms Imboela in an interview said that the few pronouncements that government was claiming to have been fulfilled had not been actualized and that the UPND should stop the rhetoric of working at improving the economy before the voters could start enjoying.
She stated that while the UPND leadership was telling voters to sacrifice and tighten their belts and wait until the economy improved before they could enjoy the benefits of their votes, the new dawn leadership was living large with most of their needs and demands being taken care of by the majority Zambians through taxes.

Ms Imboela stated that until and unless the new dawn administration addressed the challenges that schools were facing, the free education mantra was but a mockery to Zambians.
She said, the new dawn had lied enough about changing the livelihoods of Zambians yet nothing had been done.
The opposition leader said the UPND needed to accept what was happening so that they could start doing the right things unlike praising culture of self-praise which was annoying Zambians.
