UPND is incompetent – The ruling party wants to save face by blaming PF for its failures because it is fast losing support of the majority Zambians

UPND is an incompetent government, which wants to save its face by blaming the Patriotic Front (PF) for its failures, opposition Patriotic Front (PF) Copperbelt media director Munalula Moola has said.

Mr Moola said the UPND had realised that it was losing the support of the majority Zambians at a fast rate and has resorted to inventing excuses such as consistently blaming the PF for its monumental failures.

“All this goes to show that the UPND is an incompetent government,  which wants to save  face by blaming the PF for its failures after realising that it is losing the support of the majority poverty stricken Zambians at a fast rate,’’ Mr Moola said

He said the PF had set the stage for poverty alleviation and food security, which Zambians were now appreciating while rubbishing the empty rhetoric of the UPND.

In an interview, Mr Moola said the UPND had resorted to blaming the PF for its incompetence because the ruling party had lost hope and confidence in President Hakainde Hichilema and his government.

He said despite the UPND blaming the PF for its incompetence, Zambians were now convinced that PF was a better than the UPND because the ruling party had exhibited mediocre leadership in slightly over a year it has been in office.

Mr Moola said it was unfortunate that the UPND had plunged the country into serious hunger due to poor leadership.

“UPND is only one year and six months in government, but look at the confusion which it has created. Poverty and hunger levels are worsening, while the cost of living is escalating. When people talk, they are either intimidated by UPND thugs or they will blame the PF,” Mr Moola said.

He said former President Edgar Lungu will be vindicated on a number of things he mentioned about the UPND citing the proposed return of Vedanta Resources Plc to KCM, which mineworkers’ unions and UPND were supporting.

Mr Moola said PF was aware of well-calculated schemes by the UPND to bring back Vedanta Resources Plc to KCM by using the mineworkers unions.
