Make proper travel arrangements for your children, parents urged

By ANDREW MUKOMA

As Schools are closing this week, the Commuter Magazine has appealed to parents whose children are in boarding schools to take keen interest on the security and welfare of their children.

Team Leader Liswaniso Mwanalushi has observed that the lives of School learners lately has become at risk from criminals.

Mr Mwanalushi therefore said that parents should ensure that their children are safe and secured with transport arrangements

He said that parents should ensure they book in advance the transport for their children especially the young ones to avoid them being picked by wrong people.

“Please ensure that you make proper travel arrangements for the learners in boarding schools as many buses are fully booked,” he said.

Mr Mwanalushi said, in Livingstone most buses particularly for the long distance routes are fully booked up to Thursday this week.

“Boarding Schools such as Hillcrest in Livingstone  have hired buses for learners who paid in advance the transport fee.  This is just a travel advisory message especially in these times where children are being kidnapped and killed,” he said.
