POWER Dynamos should not be discouraged by the injury setbacks ahead of the crucial CAF Champions League date with Tanzanian giants Simba SC, says Zambia Sports Fans Association patron Peter Makembo.

Makembo, who saw off FC Muza as the team flew to Congo Brazzaville from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport yesterday has also encouraged the Mazabuka outfit to forget about the 2-1 home defeat to Diables Noar who he described as a beatable side.

Power Dynamos will be without key stars in Frederick Mulambya, Dominic Chanda and first choice goal keeper Lawrence Mulenga who are nursing injuries and will miss tomorrow’s crucial fixture slated for Chamazi Stadium popularly known as Azam Sports Complex in Dar es Salaam.

It is a must-win fixture for the Zambian champions who were involved in a 2-2 stalemate in the first leg fixture in Ndola and will be seeking a win or a 3-3 stalemate to match on the Group Stages of the CAF Champions League.

Makembo said Power have the quality to eliminate the Tanzanians who went up to the quarter finals in the last edition of the continental championship.

“Its not over for Power Dynamos. I know playing away without some key players may have a negative impact psychologically on the players, we just urge the team to stay focused. In football anything is possible,” Makembo said.

Makembo encouraged both Power and Muza to approach an all-out attack type of football noting that the two Zambian envoys have nothing to lose after recording mixed results in the first legs of the pre-group stage preliminary rounds.

“Power Dynamos have enough man power to handle Simba even though they will be missing some key players like Chipolopolo goal keeper Lawrence Mulenga,” Makembo said.

For Musa who have been impressive despite taking part in the continental championship for the first time. Makembo said; “There is no need for Muza to be under pressure because they have already made the proud by reaching this far and I encourage the team to remember the fact that it is representing millions of Zambians who will be cheering them on back home.”

After the 2-1 home loss, Muza will need a 2-0 victory in Congo to advance to the Group Stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
